It was a proud moment for the Palnitkar family to attend Sahil's graduation in computer science from Texas A&M university. We had not been able to attend Aditya's graduation from University of Texas, Austin in 2018, so we really wanted to attend.

Anu, Aditya and I drove in from Houston and reached College Station (about 90 miles from Houston) by about 8.10 am on Thu, May 13, 2021.

We were admitted to Reed Arena at around 8.30 am.

The graduation was engineering school graduates. Attendees were seated in alternate rows and masks were mandatory.

Ceremony started at 9 am. There were a couple of addresses by College of Engineering professors. The ceremony was shown on large screen monitors.

Names of graduates were called one by one. Graduates walked to the stage and picked up their degree. Sahil graduated with honors.

The ceremony ended at 10 am. We took a lot of after-ceremony pictures.

We ended with having lunch together with Sahil, his friends, Belita Gopal (Sahil's local guardian at College Station).

We visited Sahil's apartment in College Station. Aditya, Anu, Sahil and I started driving from College Station at around 4 pm and reached Houston around 6 pm. Anu and I were heading out to Denver to Rocky Mountain National Park the next day. Sahil was going to Las Vegas on Saturday.
